What it costs. Written down.

These are the prices we quote, installed, after the rebates, including GST. "From" means a standard install, and everything that isn't standard is listed with its price further down. Every price is subject to a site visit: that is where the roof, the switchboard and the cable runs get checked, and the price is firm after it.

All prices on this page are subject to a site visit. Nothing is ordered until we have seen the roof and the switchboard.

Solar

Panels, hybrid inverter, rails, the Energex connection and monitoring on your phone.

14 panels, single phase
6.6 kW solar
from $7,500
subject to site visit
21 panels, single phase
10 kW solar
from $10,600
subject to site visit
28 panels, three phase
13.3 kW solar
from $13,550
subject to site visit

Solar and battery together

The cheapest way to own a battery: the rebate is bigger, the inverter is shared and it is one visit.

single phase, a few circuits on backup
10 kW solar + 16 kWh battery
from $18,300
subject to site visit
three phase, whole-home backup
13.3 kW solar + 16 kWh battery
from $21,700
subject to site visit
three phase, whole-home backup
13.3 kW solar + 24 kWh battery
from $24,400
subject to site visit

Battery added to a home

Two prices because the federal battery rebate only applies when the battery is attached to rooftop solar. If you have solar already, you are in the first column.

Battery Added to existing solar No solar on the roof
8 kWh battery from $8,550 from $10,650
16 kWh battery from $10,750 from $14,750
24 kWh battery from $13,600 from $18,900

Subject to site visit. All battery prices include a backup circuit for the fridge, lights and a few power points. Whole-home backup is about $350 more on the same battery; what it really changes is the size of battery you want. What actually stays on in a blackout explains the choice.

EV charger

A 7 kW wall charger on single phase, wired to your board with its own protection, from about $2,200, subject to site visit. A photo of your switchboard is enough for a first number. Three phase and long runs are quoted.

Smoke alarms (the 2027 law)

$249 for the first interconnected photoelectric alarm and $169 each after that. A check-only visit is $149, credited if you go ahead. Details and booking.

What costs extra, and how much

These are real costs, so they are priced separately rather than hidden in a higher "from".

Switchboard upgrade $1,320 single phase, $1,650 three phase
Tile roof $15 a panel (about $210 on 6.6 kW, $420 on 13.3 kW)
Double-storey roof $25 a panel (about $350 on 6.6 kW, $700 on 13.3 kW)
Long cable run $33 a metre past the first 10 m
Export limiter, where Energex requires it $440
Smart meter change $275

What changes on 1 January 2027

The federal battery rebate drops about 16% and the solar certificates drop about 20%, both by the date the system is installed. On the packages above that is roughly $350 to $850 more on the battery and $350 to $700 more on the panels. A 13.3 kW and 24 kWh job installed in January costs about $1,500 more than the same job in December. Installers book out in November and December, so if the timing matters to you, October is the month to get the quote.

How to turn a "from" into your number

  1. Use the house on the home page. Drag the bill, or use a photo of it, and it sizes the system and shows the price range for your usage.
  2. Press "Get my exact price" and send your name, mobile and suburb. Add a photo of your switchboard and your roof if you have them.
  3. we text you back within two business hours with a firm price and one or two questions. One site visit confirms it before anything is ordered.

Questions people ask about the prices

What does "from" mean?+

A standard install: single-storey tin roof, a switchboard with room in it, the inverter or battery within about 10 metres of the board, Brisbane metro. Anything outside that is in the extras list on this page, priced per item, so you can add it up yourself before you call. Every price is subject to a site visit, which is where it becomes firm.

Are the rebates already taken off?+

Yes. The prices are what you pay after the federal solar certificates and the Cheaper Home Batteries rebate. On the quote they show as a line item at the certificate price on the day, so you can see exactly what came off. The battery rebate only applies when the battery is attached to rooftop solar, which is why the battery-only table has two columns.

Do the prices include GST?+

Yes, every figure on this page includes GST.

Why publish prices when most installers don't?+

Because it saves us both an hour. If the number is in your range, the house tool on the home page will size a system to your bill in a minute and we can firm it up from a photo of your switchboard and your roof. If it isn't, you know now.

What changes on 1 January 2027?+

The federal battery rebate drops about 16% and the solar certificate deeming period drops from five years to four. On a 16 kWh battery that is about $650 more, and on 13.3 kW of solar about $700 more. It goes by the date the system is installed, not the date you sign.

What gear is behind these prices?+

Trina 475 W panels, a GoodWe hybrid inverter and GoodWe ESA battery modules, which is what we quote by default because it is good gear at a fair price and one brand to call for warranty. Other brands, Sigenergy or BYD for example, are quoted on request and cost a little more.

Prices as at October 2026, including GST, after rebates, for a standard install as defined above. Indicative, and every price is subject to a site visit and final system design. Rebates are applied at the certificate price on the day and shown on the quote. Prices rebuilt from supplier buy prices read on 12 October 2026 and reviewed monthly.
